Review Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro

Jakarta, As scheduled, the Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro is finally official. This device is the first Redmi smartphone that comes with a notch.
Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro is supported by Snapdragon 625 SoC and 5.84 inch screen span with 2280x1080piksel resolution and 19: 9 aspect ratio.
The latest Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro smartphone comes in three memory configurations: 3/32, 4/32, and 4/64.

12MP + 5MP dual camera guns are behind. On the front there is a 5MP camera unit with HDR, Bokeh and AI modes.
Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro runs MIUI 9 which is supported by a large 4,000mAh battery and equipped with a fingerprint sensor mounted behind.

The basic version of the Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro is set at CNY999 or equivalent to Rp.2.2 million. While the other two models are priced at CNY1,199 IDR 2.6 million (4/32) and CNY1,299 or IDR2.8 million (4/64).
In addition to the country of origin, there has been no word about whether and when the device will be available outside of China. We just wait for the next announcement.

Following are the short specifications of the Redmi 6 Pro that we compiled from GSMArena:
IPS screen is 5.84 "2280 x 1080p with a ratio of 19: 9 (~ 432 ppi density)
Snapdragon 625 Octa-core 2.0 GHz Chipset Cortex-A53

Internal memory: 32/64GB eMMC 5.1
Dual nano SIM + MicroSD
Wireless A / B / G / N 2.4 & 5Ghz
4000mAh battery

12MP dual rear camera (Sony IMX486) f2.2 + 5MP PDAF
Samsung OV5675 5MP f2.0 front camera

Design
Redmi 6 Pro offers a full screen design with notches or bangs like on the iPhone X or Xiaomi Mi 8.
This phone is equipped with a dual sim nano SIM card tray with a separate Micro SD place, so you can install 2 sim cards and additional memory.
Besides that it also has a dual lens rear camera with dual tone LED flash to support better portrait results.
The build quality of this phone is quite good with a rear casing made from aluminum that doesn't look cheap when compared to the Redmi S2 which still uses plastic and looks cheap.
One thing that I think is the lack of this mobile phone is its thickness which reaches the range of 9mm. This is too thick for cellphones in 2018.

Performance
To see the speed performance of this phone, we do a benchmark test with the AnTuTu 7 application. And the results are quite impressive. Redmi 6 Pro 4 / 64GB can produce a score of 78,733. This is fairly fast for the old Snapdragon 625.
For UI performance there seems to be no problem, there is no lag that disturbs when browsing or running general applications and social media.
It's just that for heavy games like PUBG, the game can only be set on medium or low. You can still play at low settings and may experience some lag in the game.
If you are not a fan of heavy games like PUBG, then the performance of this phone is good enough.

Camera
One advantage of the Redmi 6 Pro is that it has an Image Stabilization feature that can make video recording more stable. This feature works for both the rear and front cameras. The video results are quite satisfying because they are smoother and not too much of a shock.
In addition to the video results that are quite satisfying for middle-class phones, the Redmi 6 Pro also provides good audio recordings that are not shrill or too much noise.
While the photo camera results are arguably feasible, the Redmi series standard is added to the bokeh feature because it already has a dual lens on the rear camera.
If you want a better camera, maybe you need to add a little more funds to get the Redmi Note 5.

Battery Charge
For the time being we can only test how fast the cellphone is charging using a built-in charger. And the result is I think it's fast enough ...
5% to 31% in 30 minutes
5% to 62% in 1 hour
5% to 100% within 2 hours 14 minutes
To fill a 4000 mAh battery is fast enough even though it doesn't support Qualcomm's fast charging technology, but it's almost equivalent to the speed of Quick Charge 2.0
Meanwhile the battery life is quite good with standard usage can last up to about 2 days until the battery runs out. So you might be able to chat once a day.

Conclusion, Weaknesses and Strengths Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro
While that's just a brief review that we can provide. Conclusion in our view the Redmi 6 Pro is good with the price of 2 million more able to get a smartphone whose features are quite complete with widescreen screens like iPhone X.
Sorry if there are still many shortcomings. If you want to add, please comment below.
