Review Iphone X 2018

Last year, Apple launched three iPhones at once. Besides the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus which are the successors of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, the Cupertino company also launched its most luxurious smartphone, the iPhone X as a celebration of the 10th anniversary of the iPhone.
The iPhone X is not only interesting because it is Apple's most expensive smartphone - which from the beginning was already identified with premium smartphones (read: expensive) - but also because Apple overhauled the design of its flagship cellphone.

Design
Beautiful. That's the first impression I get when I hold the iPhone X. No doubt, the design of the iPhone X is pretty. The phone was impressed simply in a black bandage with two rear cameras in the upper left corner and the Apple logo in the center. At the same time, you can see the elegant impression on this phone.
Although Apple initially insisted not to make smartphones with a larger screen, in the end, the company was surrendered and followed the market demand. iPhone X can be said to have a large screen, with 5.7-inch screen size. However, I can hold this phone with one hand easily.
Using the iPhone X for a long time with one hand does not make my hands cramp - a thing that often happens when I use a phone with a size of 5.5 inches or more. No wonder, Apple successfully cut the framework on the iPhone X, making it has a compact body with a big screen.
The existence of bangs on the iPhone X is one of the talk of many people. Some people complain about the existence of the bangs because they are considered annoying. However, as long as I use iPhone X, I do not feel the existence of notch at the top interrupt, either when I use it vertically or horizontally.
Apple overhauls the design of the iPhone X. One of the big changes that happens is the loss of the home button from the bottom of the phone. This makes the iPhone X is dominated by the screen. For the button issue, the power button is on the right with the volume buttons on the left.
At the bottom, there is a port lightning to charge the battery. Just like the iPhone 7, iPhone X is also not equipped with an audio port. For people who still often use audio jacks, the absence of that port is the lack of the iPhone X, especially since removing the audio port does not make the phone significantly thinner.

Software & Interface
One reason the iPhone is so praised is because it is easy to use. As a person who uses Android for years, when using iPhone X the first time, I have to admit I am clumsy in using it because it is not familiar with the interface and gesture to access certain features.
Fortunately, familiarize yourself with iOS does not take long because Apple's operating system is simple. Interestingly, it seems that one should "learn" using iOS on iPhone X not just Android users like me, but also previous generation iPhone users, like a CNET reporter.

Performance, Battery & Features
In terms of specifications, iPhone X may sound not too wow. Even so, its performance can be just as good as a top class Android smartphone like Samsung Galaxy Note 8. From typing email, surfing the internet to playing games, iPhone X offers smooth performance. Indeed, when I played, the cellphone felt a little warm, but it didn't cause the cellphone to crash or the game stopped suddenly.
One thing that is somewhat disappointing is the battery is less durable. I can not use PCMark to calculate exactly how long the iPhone X battery lasts, but, during use, I need to charge my phone at the end of the day or in the afternoon if the phone is used continuously.
One feature that only exists on the iPhone X, at least this time, is Animoji. This feature allows you to create an emoji expression just like your expression. For me, this feature is not very interesting though unique. However, Animoji is suitable for those of you who really feel that emojis and stickers that are currently available are not enough to express yourself.
Face ID uses proximity sensor, ambient light, infrared ray, flood illuminator, speaker, microphone and front camera to work. All information from the sensor and camera will be processed by the neural engine in Apple's new processor, A11 Bionic. Interestingly, as long as using the iPhone X, Face ID still works even when used in a dimly lit state.
Indeed, sometimes this feature still fails to detect my face. Luckily, the phone will re-examine the face when it fails to recognize the face and I enter the PIN number. That means, the cellphone can recognize my face even when I use headphones, glasses, when I lock my hair or when I leave my hair loose.

Camera
Apple completes the iPhone X with two 12MP cameras on the back. Just because megapixels from the iPhone camera don't sound too big, doesn't mean the images aren't good.
IPhone X shots are very good, even when used to take photos in a dark room or when zooming.
Indeed, when I take a photo with zoom, if zoom is too big, then the image will become grainy look. However, the picture is still pretty good. With two rear cameras, it's not unusual if iPhone X can take photos with the Bokeh effect - a blurry background.
This time, Apple also made the iPhone X take Portrait photos with the front camera. Prior to this, I've tried mobile phones with cameras that can take a Bokeh effect, either with a front camera or rear camera. Usually, if the situation is too dark, the cellphone will not be able to take Portrait photos. It's different with the iPhone X.
Interestingly, this Apple-made cellphone can still take photos with the Bokeh effect even when the lights are not too adequate. However, if you use Portrait mode to take a selfie together, make sure you stand in a row. Because if you take a photo in two lines, chances are, the phone will only recognize the face in front and blur the face on the back.

Conclusion
Apple iPhone X has a good performance. Photos shoot iPhone X is also quite good, though used to take photos in the dimly lit or when you zoom.
Indeed, if you are an Android user, it takes time to adjust to the iOS interface. But, it does not take long to get used to the iOS interface.
One disadvantage - if it can be called a weakness - is a very expensive price. Even when compared with Samsung Galaxy S9, Apple iPhone X is still more expensive.
